Brig (Retd) Dr Raashid Wali Janjua
Director Research at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI). He has held command assignments of an Infantry Brigade, Headquarters Corps of Engineers, Planning Cell at the COAS Secretariat, the Military Training Directorate, and has served as Director Works and Chief Engineer for the Pakistan Navy. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Military College of Engineering and is a graduate of the Command and Staff College, Quetta, and the National Defence University, Islamabad. He earned his Ph.D. from NUST, and his Master’s degree is in Security and Defence Management from the Royal Military College, Kingston, Canada. He has been a regular op-ed contributor to several newspapers, writing on diverse subjects, and has also served as the editor of the Command and Staff College, Quetta’s professional magazine, The Citadel.
